OBITUARY FROM NW INDIANA TIMES, NOVEMBER 15, 2013:

Clifton S. Adelman, age 58, of Hobart, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday November 12, 2013. Cliff was a graduate of Hobart High School, Class of 1973. He was a lifelong carpenter and construction manager for Ginter Homes. Cliff was happiest when he was surrounded by family, especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents: George and Joyce Ginter; and sisters: Peggy Ann Wilson and Polly K. Koesters. He is survived by his fiancee, Juli Lear; daughters: Ashlee Adelman and Anna (Shawn) Rassam; son, Clifton Adelman; two grandchildren: Strauss and Killian Rassam; sister, Carrie Adelman Ledyard; brother, Mark Adelman; brother-in-law, Denny Koesters; niece, Laura (Dan) Walstra; nephews: Luke and Daniel Ledyard; special aunts and uncles: Jim (Patty) Rouse; Debi (Hugh) Mendenhall, and Wanda (Randy) Smith; children of Juli Lear: Ashley, Abbey and Hilary Lear; and lots of loving cousins.

Funeral services will be private. An Open House “Celebration of Cliff’s Life” will be held Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 4:30 until 7:30 p.m. at Avalon Manor, 3550 East U.S. Highway 30, Merrillville, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the Hobart Food Pantry or the Wounded Warrior’s Project.
