PORTAGE--Mrs. Delbert (Helen)Dawson, 61, of 5163 Sherwin Ave., a Portage resident for 28 years, died Tuesday at Porter Memorial Hospital, Valparaiso.

Surviving besides the husband are her father, Marion Westbay of Hobar, a sister, Mrs. Evan (Bernice)Shaffer of Hobart; a brother, Edward Westbay of Palm Harbor, Fla.; a step-son, Robert C. Dawson of Glyndon, Minn., a step-daughter, Mrs. Douglas (Irene)Salisbury of Grand Rapids, Minn.; 11 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart, with the Rev. Ronald Deck officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Schererville.
