MUNCIE – Marjorie Arlene “Ar” Greene, 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, February 27, 2020 at Golden Living Center.

Arlene was born March 18, 1931 in Hobart, Indiana, the daughter of Andrew and Elaine (Woods) Erwin. She married her late husband William “Bill” Greene in 1950.

Arlene devoted her life to caring for her family and others. She enjoyed taking care of neighbors and was always willing to help others. Her home was a favorite gathering place for family and friends. Ar’s door was always open to any animals her kids or grandkids brought with them on visits. Many times, the kids or grandkids went home, and the animals stayed forever with Grandma Ar! She loved spoiling her pets and giving them plenty of treats.

She is survived by two sons, William “Bill” Greene (Sherri) and Robert “Bob” Greene (Carol); one daughter, Sharon White; four grandchildren, Joe Tischer, Katie Burbridge, Mike Tischer, and A.J. White; four great- grandchildren, Lizzie Shorten, Nicholaus White, Bentley White and Adda White; one sister, Donna Irwin; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend, “daughter” Kathy Swink.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Pamela J. Tischer Wilson; two sisters, Ellie Noland and Janet Bechler; and two brothers, Don Erwin and Dave Erwin.

Per her wishes, there will be no services and cremation will take place.
