SHIRLEY M. POWELL (nee PLEWS) Loving Mother & Grandmother Hobart, IN Age 74, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2005 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. She was a longtime member of the Hobart OES. Shirley was an inspiration to her children, grandchildren, friends and all who knew her.

Shirley is survived by: her daughters, Linda (Jim) Madison of Hobart and Cheryl A. (Joe) Wytovicz of Lakes of the Four Seasons; a son, Don (Kelley) Brown of Norfolk, MA; grandchildren, Jordan & Jesse Brown; best friend, Sarah Dorsey and her many friends at Linden House in Hobart; nieces & nephews, Cindy (Lyle) Freeman, Debbie (Mark) Drescher, Kathy (Marshall) DePew, Robert Plews, Patty Plews, Jeff Plews, Laura (Dan) Gonzales. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Hudson Plews & Gladys Jean Plews; brothers, Robert Hudson Plews, Franklin Edwin Plews; and grandson, Christopher James Madison.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 22, 2005, 11 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart. Interment of her cremated remains will take place with her Mother at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville. Visitation is Thursday from 2-9 p.m. with an OES service at 7 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
