OBITUARY FROM GEISEN FUNERAL HOME (CROWN POINT, IN) WEBSITE:

George Andros Sr., age 82 of Merrillville, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2009. George was the owner of Andros Furniture and Appliance in Glen Park. He was a member of the Roosevelt Masonic Lodge #716 F.&A.M., Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend, Orak Shrine of Michigan City and former member of the Glen Park Business Association and the Gary Chamber of Commerce.

George was preceded in death by brothers: James, William and John Andros and sisters: Leona Petros, Dena Polites and Kaliroy Petruska. George is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; son, George Pat Andros, Jr. of Hobart; grandchildren: Jeanne Bill Darroca of McCordsville, IN; Ann Marie Jesse Serrano of Hobart; great-grandchildren: Alexis, Adam and Nolan Darroca, Christian DeBold and Adrianna Serrano; and many nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 13, 2009 at 10:00 AM directly at Ss. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 8000 Madison St., Merrillville, with Rev. Theodore Poteres officiating. Interment to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Friends may visit with the family Thursday, February 12th from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the Geisen Funeral Home, 7905 Broadway, Merrillville. A Trisagion Prayer Service will be held Thursday at 5:00 PM followed by a Masonic Service at 6:00 PM.
