Jack D. Adams, 81, of Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, April 7, 2001 in Owasso, Okla.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 11 at 10 a.m. at Helms Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Dr. Stephen Shugert and Rev. Ron Hoeksema officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant.

Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Angel Flight.

Jack was born June 3, 1919 in Gary, Ind. The son of Melvern and Freda Mae (Schneufler) Adams. He married Jane Ann (Legg) Adams in West LaFayette, Ind. She preceded him in death in May of 1988.

Jack resided in Mt. Pleasant from 1958 until moving to Owasso, Okla. 12 weeks ago.

He was a Professor of Biology at Central Michigan for many years and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Mt. Pleasant.

Jack is survived by two children, Sandra (Brian) Doe of Owasso, Okla. And David (Susan) Adams of Jackson; four grandchildren, Ashley Adams, Andella Doe, Abigail Doe and Alyssa Doe; one brother, Richard Adams of Laramie, Wyo.; a niece, Tori Adams; and a nephew, Rich Adams.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane and both parents.
