He married Ruth Elvira Margareta Anderson on 15 June 1929, in Blue Island, Cook, Illinois, United States. They were the parents of at least 1 son. He died on 16 February 1990, in Saint Petersburg, Pinellas, Florida, United States, at the age of 87.
