Phyllis Hansell Sturgis passed away suddenly in Oklahoma City, Nov. 6, 2010. She was born Aug. 25, 1926 in Gary, IN. She attended Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, IN & later worked at US Steel.

Phyllis married Lloyd L. Sturgis, Jr. in 1953 remained with him until his death in 1987 raised their 4 children.

She is survived by her 4 children, 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 1 brother, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews & cousins.

Phyllis was a sweet, generous, loyal, hard-working woman with a quirky sense of humor, beautiful smile and infectious laugh. We will miss her light in our lives.

Memorial service at 2 o'clock Friday November 12 at Sunny Lane Funeral Home Chapel.
