Left Hobart immediately after graduation for the Navy. I loved it enough to stay for 26 years. Lived in Charleston SC, Orlando FL, Ewa Beach HI, Bergen, Norway, East Lyme, CT, and Sardinia, Italy. After retirement, went to work for a financial corporation, but I was working harder than ever. Finished school, became a Field Training Officer (Federal Police Officer) for Homeland Security. After 12 years, I was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, and moved to a desk job with Emergency Management. Took 4 years to get into remission, but thanks to Dana Farber Cancer Center in Boston (Dr. Daniel Deangelo, and the Medical University of South Carolina (Dr. Daniel Stuart), the cancer is undetectable. My wife Gail has retired from the University of Connecticut Library. Our kids are spread everywhere (Massachusettes, Florida, Virginia, South Carolina, Connecticut), so we do some traveling. Gail and I have retired to Hilton Head, SC. I am easily the most blessed individual I know.
