Hey laddie, what's shakin' ?
Hi Roger, I wholeheartedly agree with your view of "old age"......whatever the cut off date is, I'll go with Mark Twain's comment: "It's all a question of mind over matter; if you don't mind, it don't matter." My definition of having a Good Day.......is whether I needed any help getting out of bed in the morning; if I didn't..........it is a Good Day Take care, all the best.
Best wishes on your birthday Linda,
Cheers

I'm afraid I don't have any stories to share about Jack(ie), he was just an all around good guy in my book and I am sure I never saw him without a smile on his face. I don't think I ever heard any details on his passing.....I always assumed it must have been a car accident.
At any rate, I enjoy everyone sharing their memories of our class mates; it seems we are a pretty diverse lot of characters and although I don't have a year book and have not seen anyone since the 20 year Reunion, all the names mentioned instantly bring forth a vivid memory and face..........they say as you get older you can remember things that happened 50 years ago, but not what happened yesterday.........so it's good to hear these childhood remembrances of our Class of 64'. If there has been a "Golden Age" of America, I think we all came along at that time. Thanks for sharing.
Hey old timer........just popped in to the Hobart Website.....still tryin' to see what's what with all y'all (I can say that now, I live in Southern Virginia). How's life in Carmel? Hope all is well with you and yours. I hope you are still the same humorous, mello guy I knew in high school; after all, Life is about "attitude", eh? I have a devil of a time accepting the idea that on July 5th I will be 70 years old !!! Who'd a thunk it; If I'd have known I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of myself.......NAW, I'd have done what I did.
Anyway, keep on keepin on, stay sunny-side-up, and find something to laugh about every day.....even if it yourself.
All the best,
Jim Garretty
Hey Ivan,
Hope you are in fine fettle. I always think of you around this time of year....I get hoop fever and think of our days together out on the blacktop....shootin' and hootin'; it was a fun way to spend our youth. My body is diminished but my jump shot (the one in my cerebral gymnasium) is still dead on. Enjoy the hoop season my friend, I think of you often and hope you are well.
Stay sunny-side-up,
Jim Garretty
Rich,
I got a kick out of your recent "portrayal" of a day in the life of Hobart Guys on the Loose. Fun times were had in those days. Thanks for sharing......hope all is well with you and yours.
