I am always surprised when I tell people about my hometown and they just can't believe that I actually have remained close with some of my grade school classmates. I loved school and I loved my hometown! Hobart is special and so are the people there - love you!
I got married too young and too many times - but I have experiences that make most people laugh and cry (at the same time). Oh, boy did I make some mistakes, but I've sure learned a lot from this life. I have wonderful children who are bright and successful, so I did one or two things right!
I served in the military - if you were married to a soldier (trust me) YOU SERVED IN THE MILITARY and deserve recognition for surviving!! Vietnam changed the lives of many of us and also changed the people around us. I keep up with the news, still work and "adore" my grandchildren more than life itself. THEY are the reason you have children! I'm still beautiful, opinionated and not nearly as self-involved as the teenager I once was.............but I'm mostly pretty happy with me.

I sang! High School was a wonderfully happy time for me. It was my social existence. (And my way of not thinking about the issues at home.) Football games - my favorite! "Once a Brickie, Always a Brickie!" I wasn't the cheer leader type............so I lived vicariously through Linda Johnson......in my next life I want to be tall, thin, blonde and RICH! (and a cheer leader) Is that asking too much???? I was very lucky to have attended Mundell School. The kids from that school were really special - just as were the teachers and principal - I only remember Mr. Catt. If there was another, I have no clue! I struggled between being a "good girl" and being a "juvenile delinquent" and both won out at different times. We should have had a debate team because I do love a good argument! Memories from school are mostly good.
