Floyd H. Rogers, 75, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 27, 2018. He was born August 16, 1943, the son of the late Floyd E. and Juanita (nee Howell) Rogers.
In addition to his wife, Mary Lee, Floyd is survived by his children, Andrew (Christina DeYoung) Rogers, Jennifer (Grant) Havens and Brett Rogers; and his grandchildren, Cade, Lewis and Emerson Havens. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dellwood Rogers.
Floyd spent 34 years as a science teacher for Barrington Middle School Station Campus, where he was also a Track coach. In retirement, he was an IHSA Track and Field and Cross Country official. He worked for the Woodstock Opera House and volunteered for Mission trips and with Boy Scouts.
Friends are welcome to visit with Floyd’s family on Friday, October 5, 2018 from 4-8pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rt. 176) Crystal Lake. The funeral Mass will be held the following day, Saturday, October 6th at 10:30am at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake.
