Age 52, of Hobart, dparted this world, Monday, January 9, 1955 in Tucson, Arizona. He was born March 15, 1942, in Valparaiso to L. L. "Woody" and Ruby (nee Nolen) Woodruff. In September of 1966 he married Dorothy C. Cox.

He was employed by the Indiana State Department of Transportation. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hobart, the Rusty Pipes Community Band, and the Gary-Hobart Loyal Order of the Moose #783. He was also a red coat volunteer at Methodist Hospital - Southlake and was a member of St. Mary Medical Center Auxiliary Red Coats.

Besides his wife Dorothy he is survived by his mother, Ruby; his sisters, Ellen M. (Jerry) Anderson and Jane S. Woodruff both of Hobart; also survived by his foster daughter, Lynn Vesley; 6 nieces; 3 nephews; 3 great nieces and 4 great nephews; uncle, LaVerne (Mary) Woodruff of Indianapolis; aunts, LaVanche (Gale) West of Valparaiso and Hazel Price of Hobart; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father L. L. "Woody" Woodruff and foster son, John Barth.

Final resting place to be at Idaville Cemetery, Idaville, Indiana.

Visitation Friday, 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. St. Mary Medical Center Auxiliary will conduct services Friday at 3:30 p.m. Moose Lodge Memorial service Friday, 7:30 p.m. Funeral services Saturday, January 14, 1995, 10 a.m. from the Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, Rev. William Kaster officiating.
