Robert (Bob) Loiacano - Class Of 1962

OBITUARY FROM REES FUNERAL HOME WEBSITE, MARCH 8, 2017:

Robert William “Bob” Loiacano, age 73, of Valparaiso, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017. He was born on August 24, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to Sam and Jean Loiacano. Bob leaves behind his loving wife, Patty (nee Forrest) of 35 years; mother, Jean Loiacano; daughters, “sweet” Tammy (Tim) Conjelko and Tina; dear sister, Annamarie (Joe) Pero; brother, Frank (Marcia) Loiacano; several nieces and nephews; best friend, Rudey and Kelli Estes. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Loiacano; and sisters, Marilyn and Tina. 

Bob was a member of the Laborer’s Union Local #81 for 52 years and was Superintendent for Songer Corporation. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Bob was a 1962 graduate of Hobart High School. His lifelong hobbies were fishing and woodworking. Memorial contributions in Bob’s name may be made to VNA Hospice Foundation, Valparaiso or St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. 

Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, March 13, 2017 at 10:00 am directly at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 509 W. Division Road, Valparaiso with Rev. Douglas J. Mayer officiating. He will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation for Bob will be held Sunday, March 12, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart, IN.
