Comments:
After graduating Hobart High School in May of 1981, I attended Purdue University in West Lafayette in the fall. I completed my freshman year and transferred to Purdue University in Hammond, Indiana. I went to school on a part-time basis while working different jobs. From 1981 to 1986, I worked Burger King, Mobile Care Wash, Strack & Vantil, and American Softball Association umpire in Hobart Parks and Recreations Department. I went to Air Force recruiter in Valparaiso, Indiana and signed up for military service in the United States Air Force. I entered basic training in January 1987 and completed basic training in March 1987. I transferred to Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas for technical training as a medical service specialist from March 1987 to July 1987. Next, I transferred to Mather Air Force Base in Rancho Cordova, California for clinical phase from July 1987 to September 1987. My next assignment is Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi from September 1987 to July 1991 assigned to Keesler Medical Center working Oncology and Cardiac Rehab inpatient units. My next assignment is Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea from July 1991 to July 1992 working medical inpatient unit. My next assignment is Ramstein Air Base in Kaiserlautern, Germany from August 1992 to October 1994 working Acute Care Clinic, Family Practice Clinic, Minor Surgery Clinic, and Dermatology Clinic. My next assigment is to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio from November 1994 to July 1998 working Primary Care Clinic. My next assignment is to Kunsan Air Base, Repubic of Korea from August 1998 to August 1999 working Primary Care Clinic and Ambulance Services. My next assignment is to Laughlin Air Force Base in Del Rio, Texas from September 1999 to January of 2003 working Family Practice Clinic, Pediatric Clinic, and Immunizations Clinic. My next assignment is to Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea from February 2003 to February 2004 working Primary Care Clinic. My next assignment is to Incirlik Air Base in Adana, Turkey from March 2004 to June 2005 working Immediate Care Clinic/Ambulance Services. My last assignment was to Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California from July 2005 to October 2007 working Gastroenterology Clinic and Medicine inpatient unit. I was deployed to RAF Fairford and RAF Little Rissington, England in support of OPERATION DESERT STORM(January-March 1991), Camp Pleso in Zagreb, Croatia for support of OPERATIONS PROVIDE PROMISE and JOINT ENDEAVOR(July-December 1995), Prince Sultan Air Base in Al-Kharj, Saudi Arabia for support of OPERATION SOUTHERN WATCH(December 1997-April 1998), and Sather Air Base in Baghdag International Airport, Iraq for support of OPERATIONS IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM(May-September 2006). I retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years, 9 months, and 15 days of dedication to duty. I remained in Fairfield, California working at Travis Air Force Base working at the Travis Bowling Center from December 2007 to March 2011. I am currently working Travis Commissary since November 2010.
