Mr. Boyd is an accounting professional that teaches business and accounting courses to students in Northwest Indiana. I am employed full-time as a dual credit teacher at Hobart High School in Hobart, IN and to college students at IvyTech in Valparaiso, IN or virtually in a choice based setting.
I am a graduate of Indiana University's Kelley School of Business from both their Undergraduate and Graduate Accounting Programs. Upon graduation in 2011, I received my Master's of Science in Accounting and sat for the CPA exam immediately.
I passed the last part of the exam while working as an Auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. At the time, PwC was the second largest Accounting and Audit firm in the world. In 2013, I became a fully licensed CPA in the State of Ohio and then subsequently Indiana.
Outside of the classroom, I run my own CPA practice for small to medium sized businesses and run the School Employee's Credit Union as their Manager.
I am grateful to be a part of an organization that cares for our citizens. We take pride in what we do. I hope to be a part of the positivity we bring everyday at HHS. My focus is bringing light to the difficulties everyone faces as consumers, debtors, and market participants. As a State employee, my highest order is the general financial literacy of students of Hobart in the face of these challenges.
