Paul Edward Camarena, age 60, of Hobart, passed away July 2, 2023. He was born November 1, 1962 in Gary, IN. Paul graduated from Hobart High School in 1981. He was passionate about fishing and woodworking. Paul then completed carpenter classes at Ivy Tech and started working at Plastic Line Counter Tops learning skills in cabinetry and laminating. A friend then got Paul a job at Tonn and Blank working in the cabinet shop. It was there that he was promoted to Project Manager and in 2018 he was instrumental in organizing and maintaining the work force and material needed to see the final completion of the final completion of the YMCA building in Valparaiso, IN.

Paul retired from Tonn and Blank and then began working at BP in Whiting, IN. It was at that time he built his home in Hobart and in retirement made improvement to the skills gathered in his life’s adventures. Paul’s home was a Taj Mahal of his skills.

Paul was preceded in death by his sister-Deborah Ann Camarena. He is survived by his parents-Aniceto and Betty Camarena; two brothers-Mike and Robert (Theona); nephews-Nic, Zac; niece-Hannah.
