1971: Graduated from IU with a BA in Zoology & Chemistry.
1972-73: Part-Time Lab Instructor in Biology and Anatomy & Physiology as well as a Tutor for the Special Services Division Students at IU Northwest. Part-Time Drum Teacher at Karnes Music in Hammond and a Freelance Drummer for various small Music Groups in Northwest Indiana.
1974-78: Attended the IU School of Dentistry with the DDS awarded in 1978.
1978-79: Hospital General Practice Residency at the Wood VA Medical Center in Affiliation with the Marquette Scholl of Dentistry.
1979-80: Staff Dentist at the Seattle VA Medical Center and Part-Time Faculty at the University of Washington School of Dentistry.
1980-82: Residency in Periodontics at the Wood VA Medical Center and Marquette University School of Dentistry.
1982-94: Staff Periodontist at the VA Medical Centers in San Antonio and Memphis with Part-Time Faculty Appointments at the University of Texas and University of Tennessee respectively.
1994-24: Staff Periodontist & Chief, Dental Department at the Roudebush VA Medical Center with Part-Time Volunteer Faculty Appointment at the IU School of Dentistry.
