My sincere appreciation to Gail Schavey Myatt for posting this obituary and sincere condolences to all of Denise's family and friends. When you think back to your years in Hobart schools, Denise certainly made a positive, early impression on me.....4th grade at Liberty School to be exact. I showed up for school Day 1 wearing braces. Here comes Denise and sits down next to me. Oh, great, I am thinking. If I smile, I am sunk. Well I did smile, and she was encouraging, supportive, she said I looked fine. We became friends. By spring, she asked if I wanted to go steady. Two problems: I really didn't know what that meant, but I did know that a ring was involved. I told her I didn't have money for a ring. She said don't worry about it. I'll buy one and tell everyone you got it for me..........Bottom line: she was encouraging, fun, and a problem solver. She never lost those attributes through school. She was a good person. God Bless Denise Council O'Neill... My cousin, Denise Council
Jim was one of the good guys. We met at Liberty Grade School...Alpha seating in homerooms over the years would encourage conversation. In Junior High, we would walk to his house for lunch on 3rd Street on occasion. Jim set pins at the old Hobart Lanes, and a better bowler in Lake County would not be found. He was one of the good ones.....Sincere condolences to the family....Jeff Frame
